Angry Horrible performance since displayLInk driver update

Since I had to update the driver, as MacOS didnt support the old one, the performance is horrible. I had to go down from UHD to HD and still it eats up my CPU performance, depending on how much is moving on screen. I can just take a finder window an wiggle around with it on screen with my mouse and see the cpu going up. Whats going on??

Same issue is on my MBA M1. UHD is laggy, 1080p works pretty fast.

What MacOs version and DisplayLink driver do you use now and before?

Catalina 10.15.7
I dont know the old version, the new one is 1.3.0.
For the old driver, I didnt need a "manager" tool in the menu bar..

Now it seems to me as if this "manager" tool is a virtual screen capture tool that creates something like a virtual monitor instead of native support..
