USB 3.0 to DP4K Adapter

Hi. We are testing the USB 3.0 to DP4K Adapter with the HP 840 G6 laptops w/HP ultraslim 2013 docking stations. We have found that with certain monitors on the USB adapter, when trying to move windows to those monitors, after a couple of seconds the display blinks a couple of time & then the windows return to the main monitor. Are there certain monitors that do not play well with these adapters through a docking station?
