Default D3100 with USB Type C cable

I wondering if anyone here have tried to connect the Dell D3100 with a type C USB cable. As I know usb type C is capable of transferring up to 10 Gbps, and along with power. It is possible for to connect the docking station using ubs type cable, and power your laptop with it?

Hello,
Powering the laptop would need USB Power Delivery to be implemented on BOTH sides, with compatible format. The power required is far more than the usual power you get from the USB port.
This is more than a plug, and requires the hardware circuitry. Therefore, if Dell doesn't advertise it, it wouldn't be supported.
Cheers,
Alban
