Default Dock Dell UD22, Ubuntu 22.04, dont work.

My monitor connected to displaylink is not displaying, nothing happens.

My settings:
DisplayLink Driver: 5.8.0-63.33
USB device: dell universal docking station ud22
Operating System: Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS
Kernel: 6.2.0-39-generic

output for lsusb -d 17e9:
Bus 002 Device 005: ID 17e9:6013 DisplayLink Dell Universal Hybrid Video Dock

Does anyone have any tips on what I can do to make it work?

My understanding based on the information provided here --> https://www.dell.com/support/home/en...dock-ud22/docs is that Dell supports the UD22 unit within Ubuntu Linux. If you have not done so already, I would suggest contacting Dell directly for assistance.

If Dell is not able to assist, then I would suggest following the steps outlined here --> https://support.displaylink.com/know...to-displaylink in order to report the issue to DisplayLink directly.

Thanks rboerner for showing me the way.

Attached is the information collected on my system.

I contacted Dell and support told me that it doesn't work because my USB-C port isn't a Thunderbolt type, but I don't think that's the case, as DisplayLink is supposed to work on any USB-C port, right? Or am I understanding it wrong?
My laptop is a Lenovo ideapad Gaming 3i

No. According to Dell, ony DP ports are DisplayLink-based. HDMI and USB-C uses USB-A Alternate mode.

I installed Windows 10 in dual boot for testing purposes, and in this way, it worked, proving that my problem is not with the hardware but with the software/drivers.

If anyone has any idea what I can do to make it work on Linux, I would be grateful.

I upgraded ud22’s firmware (1.0.14.20, A04) today and then everything went haywire.
Is your ud22 running the latest firmware?
And also how did you reinstall the displaylink driver?
