Default Disconnecting monitor causes crash

I use the HP USB docking station to hook up a 3rd monitor. When I go to disconnect the monitor that's hooked up to the docking station, everything crashes. As in, right click - screen resolution - select monitor 3 - disconnect this display.

I can't play Microsoft flight simulator X or very many other games with the docking station connected, and it's a real pain to unhook the docking station from the computer. Any ideas?

I tried to install the new 5.4b1 driver, but I keep getting an error message:

"The software for DisplayLink Graphics is not supported on this operating system version."

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium.

I hope someone can help me out.

Some other information I forgot to include is that I have an Nvidia GTX 260 graphics card with the latest drivers.
