Default Update file

Can you kindly provide me with the updated driver or a beta of the update? When is the new driver going to be released?

We are not planning a 1.12.0 Beta release, and the final version of the driver will appear on our website in February/March. We will also keep you informed here on the forum.

Hey peeps,

I'm also experiencing the exact issue. M4 Macbook Pro. 1920x1080-60, WL-UG6902H

Mostly prominant in slack and chrome when typing. Pretty much makes them unusable.

I (and i'm sure others) would really would be appreciated if this could be hotfixed (eg 1.11.1) rather than waiting for the next release (1.12.0). I really feel for people if this was happening on their primary external monitor. Luckily it's on my monitors that are off to the side (but those are the ones most likely to have slack on them).

Cheers.

Hi rossm,

At this stage there is no difference whether it's going to be delivered in 1.11.1 or 1.12. Hopefully, it will deliver expected improvement

Regards,
Szymon

Default waiting

This is growing more troublesome. When is the update to be released? Can you provide a patch fix for this since this is an obvious issue? My Display link monitor is not usable at the moment due to the typing and mouse lag.

Default update?

It's kinda concerning that displaylink are treating this so cavalier. Your technology this built to do one thing, and it's not doing the thing. You refuse to hot fix it, and are not giving any indication or certainty as to when the next software release will be.

You currently hold a pretty much uncontested position in the mac market. Taking this attitude on things is what leads to competitors having the opportunity to take market share and then potentially out innovate you.

I'm currently sitting here thinking that I should have just purchased the more expensive m4 max instead of relying on displaylink, because the amount of money that i'm losing in productivity (because of a non functional displaylink product), was likely just worth paying the extra for the more expensive mac.

This issue was reported back in november. It then took you until february to even acknowledge that there was even a problem, and here we are sitting 4 weeks later, still with no indication and certainty of when it's going to be resolved.

Please provide the anticipated release date for 1.12.0 so that we can all plan accordingly.

Since the February part of "February/March" is now over, can we have any reassurance this will be released in March or is the new release date "March/April"?

Cheers Szymon. I've installed the 1.12 update. After the update it actually exaserbated the issue further. However after a system reboot, the symptoms have now gone away.

I've only been using it for about 15 minutes now. I'll report back after longer use of the new drivers. My gut is telling me this is now resolved.

Thanks for your assistance.

Default Further Update

Just to provide a further update. This update definitly has significantly improved the problem. I do occasionally have similar symptoms, probably around 10% of the time - but it's certainly much better.
