Default No monitors detected on Dell D3100 docking station

Hi, first time poster here... I've just set up my Dell d3100 docking station, connected two external LG monitors through the HDMI ports into the d3100, but neither of my laptop's are picking them up (one Asus and one is Dell). The d3100 seems to be working, it's connected and the keyboard and mouse work fine. Both laptops run Windows 10. The Dell I use a docking station at work, the d6000, which works just fine.

I've tried the following already, but to no avail:
1. Unplugged the d3100, waited 10s, plugged back in.
2. Disabled the Intel graphics card on the Asus and re-enabled
3. Updated drivers
4. Uninstalled drivers, reinstalled.
5. Had monitors powered on, not in sleep when connecting.
6. Tried both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports

I am completely at a loss as to what to try next?

Any help gratefully received!

Worth adding, the monitors are both connected DVI (monitor) to HDMI (d3100), could this have a bearing?
