I've had a litany of problems as soon as I switched my monitors to portrait mode. DL was slow and working like a computer from the early 90s.
So I upgraded to Big Sur 11.7.2 and DL 1.8 and it got a bit better. However, new problems started to arise: -DL will not detect any external monitors, even if I have the "launch automatically after login" selected -My internet does not turn on because DL doesn't see the ethernet connection -I can't play video in my audio editing software (Pro Tools) I have to disconnect any drives attached to the hub (it at least sees the drives), and then do a power cycle with the hub, then it will see the 2 external monitors and acknowledge the ethernet cable and accesses the internet. For me to see video in Pro Tools, I have to unplug the hub, open Pro Tools, then plug the hub back in, then I'm most of the time able to see video. Sometimes the video crashes and goes black again, and I have to go through this process another time. All I wanted to do was have my two external monitors in portrait mode and behave smoothly and normally like they do when in landscape mode. 2017 15" MBP, touchbar, 16GB Last edited by DLnowork; 01-08-2023 at 06:41 PM. |
