Flashing Screen..Win 7
Support...plz help. I just swapped out an older Dell Win7 machine with a new Dell M6800 with Win 7. Didn't have any problem with Displayline before. Now my screens flash off and on every five seconds. I've gone through the forum and checked everything... drivers, cables, changing ports, etc.
Here is the compat check: Pass: Basic mode support Pass: Device attached Pass: Device started correctly Pass: Graphics driver date Pass: WEI is above recommended 3 Pass: No Other USB graphics software installed Attached is the ZIP. |

A little more info...
It seems that sometimes I can reboot and everything is fine. If I change anything in monitor management, the blinking starts again.

And more info...
When I reboot, the can stop the screen flashing, but the attached USB drives will drop off and on intermittently...

This sounds like a USB issue? Is the dock appearing and disappearing in device manager when this happens?
I think this is the latest driver for your USB 3.0 host controller: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...?DwnldID=22824 Wim |

Is the dock appearing and disappearing in device manager when this happens? Need to diagnose which part of your system is causing the screens to flash

Wim...I just ran the Dell Update manager and despite cust support's word, I had a slew of things out of date, including the BIOS. At the moment things seem to be working, but if it recurrs I will check the device manager and repost.
Thanks for the help. |
