Aother resolution question: Only 1280 X 800 option on Apple Cinema Display 30-Inch
Only resolution option avaiable is 1280 X 800 on Apple Cinema Display using NWTVIDU3HDMIDV USB 3.0 to HDMI/DVI adapter.
Conguration: Macbook Pro 17 inche Mid 2010 running OSX 10.9.1 Apple Cinema Display 30 Inch NWTVIDU3HDMIDV USB 3.0 to HDMI/DVI adapter System information file attached as ZIP Problem: Opening Settings, Displays and the only option under Resolution, Scaled is 1280 X 800. Attempted solutions: I have tried holiding alt/option to show other resolution options, as per previous posts, but no other options show. I was expecting the max resolution to be per specs @ 1920 x 1200. Assistance would be appreciated. |

That display only advertises 2 modes:
1280x800x24@60 2560x1600x24@60 2560x1600 will only be supported with a DisplayPort connection. Through HDMI/DVI 2560x1600 will not be available, so the only other resolution supported is 1280x800. You will need a USB to DisplayPort adapter to get the maximum resolution from this display. There are some listed in the DisplayLink shop: http://displaylink.com/shop/adapters Wim |
