Older versions?
Since you are running XP, have you tried older versions of DisplayLink? Other options would be installing the most recent USB drivers from the manufacturer (e.g. Intel) and the most recent video drivers. You may also want to try older video drivers.
Another option would be to upgrade to Windows 7. It appears that is the OS that came with your computer. |

Hi,
To clarify, this issue is specific to Windows XP and not seen on Windows 8 on the same system? Thanks, James |

new log attached
To James,
if i switch to Win8 on same system(hardware), it never halt but still would freeze awhile sometime on several last release version. i installed lastest driver 7.4 M0,there are somthing different from old driver(7.1 ~ 7.3), yes since 7.1, i install every released driver. firstly, sometime, XP would pause responsing of display and keyborad & mouse input, that's means freezing awhile. but other time, XP halt, becase all lamps but power on my pc would close. BTW, if i play music through my dock, it would freeze or halt mostly after installing 7.4 M0. and another question, how many valtages on power input? i checked this document(http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/q...a/13223_na.PDF), and found that value is 19.5V! same as my notebook's power adapter. dos it need such large power? i now use an power adapter with 12V 4A output, maybe this is why it crash frequently? Hi,
I would always recommend using the supplied power supply. Please let me know if you have the freezes with the original power supply. If you do are the freezes random? Or do they happen after a certain event? Unfortunately your last attachments didn't contain anything. Please retry gathering the logs and re-attaching them. Thanks, James |
