Default DisplayLink kills screen savers

Hi,

I am running Lion 10.7.3 and can reproduce the following problem:

As soon as I connect the DisplayLink adapter all my screen saver options are gone except for the "Computer Name" and "Flurry" options.

Initially I thought it was a problem with my Mac. But simply unplugging the DisplayLink adapter and re-opening the System Pref makes them appear again.

What options do I have to have both the adapter and the screen saver options running?

Yes, I have the same behavior after installing v1.7 of the DisplayLink driver under OS X 10.7.3.
Hoping to find a solution, of course.
