Question Any way to send DDC-commands to display?

Hello, I bought recently your usb-hdmi adapter to hook up my Windows 10 laptop with a big screen. It works great!

But I would like to adjust screen brightness via software. My display's got DDC/CI enabled. I've tried several softwares and they all detect the display as they should but adjusting brightness, contras etc. doesn't work.

Is there a way enable support to this in DisplayLink USB Graphics Software?

Hello,

May I get the brand and reference of the device you are using?
Alternatively, if you can go to Device Manager and get the hardware ID in the details of the device, that might be enough.

Products with DisplayLink technology supporting DDC/CI do that out-of-the-box, there isn't a specific setting to add.

Kind regards,
Alban

Hello, and than you for your reply. I am at the moment not with the computer in question so I can't confirm the model but I believe it's this one:

Hello,

That box does not help me, unfortunately.
DisplayLink does not manufacture or sell any end product, and there are 100s of HDMI adapters using different chips from our portfolio. Most of the text looks illegible.

I would recommend trying Screenbright. It is very old, un-updated, but works even on my latest Windows 10 to my 3 displays connected via a couple of DisplayLink DL-6950 ASICs.

Kind regards,
Alban
