Default DL_D1C.tmp is either not designed to run on Windows or contains an error

DisplayLink Installation failed, now I'm getting the following error: DL_D1C.tmp is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administartor or the software vendor for support

The drivers are still listed, the DisplayLink app shows in Programs, but errors when attempting to uninstall. AOC USB Monitor has completely stopped working. Monitor works on other PC's.

Hello,

The file got modified on your computer for a reason I cannot indicate.
The installer we provide is designed to run on Windows.

I suggest you try to use the cleaner to remove the corrupted installation and download the file again. How to do this is pasted in my signature.
If the issue persists, I recommend you check your Windows installation.

Kind regards,
Alban
