Lagging external single display on Ubuntu 20.04
Dear DisplayLink community,
everything works fine with the "DisplayLink USB Graphics Software for Ubuntu 5.3.1" (options "Join Displays", "Mirror") except the settings option "Single Display" when I want to use only the external display: I face massive lagging. Everything works when I am using the built-in display as a single display. Thanks in advance for considering my hint! Had the same issue, try using Wayland instead. It seems that development is focusing on it anyway. Works way better and I'm getting similar performance to Windows. Most X11 applications work fine out of the box using XWayland...
