Default IPUSB2VGA and windows 8

I'm trying to connect to the IPUSB2VGA via Ethernet to project an image on a projector over an Ethernet network. I've installed the displaylink drivers on my surface pro, and when I plug into this device with USB it works fine.

I see no other software to be able to connect to the device over Ethernet, what do I need for that?

The Ethernet to USB part of this product is not provided by DisplayLink and it will not work if you just install our generic software. You will need to install the software from the manufacturer as this should include the Ethernet to USB drivers needed.
