Mirror works but not Expansion
Asus MB168 USB Monitor is connected to an Asus x101ch (Atom N2600). Desktop is displayed on build-in Monitor and external USB Monitor (mirror). Switchig to "expand display" doesn't word. I get a black Screen on external USB Monitor. All was tested with Drivers from Asus.
After that I installed driver from displaylink.com. Netbook tells me usb device unknown. What else can I try to get this stuff to fly? Thanks for any help, Gustav |

Hi,
If you've got Windows 7 Starter Edition installed Extended desktop is not possible. This is a limitation of the OS. If you have another version of Windows installed then please attach the output of this tool: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 Thanks, James |

Hi James
Yes exactly, it's Windows 7 Starter Edition. Unfortunately this OS limitation is not mentioned on Asus Specification. Is there a way to update, to get over this limitation? This Netbook has only 1GB of RAM and can not be upgraded. But it's fanless, no noise at all. Thank you. |

Hi,
According to Microsoft you can update this OS to a version that doesn't have this limitation: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/w...nytime-upgrade Thanks, James |
