Unhappy Disable Settings Pop Up

Hey all. Is anyone else have an issue with DisplayLink Manager's settings modal randomly popping up? See here: https://share.cleanshot.com/W4c900l3

I'm on the latest version of macOS (Sequioa, 15.0), but it was happening on Sonoma as well).

Is there anyway to stop this? It's pretty disruptive as it hijacks my keyboard too.

Yes! +1 to this. It is INCREDIBLY irritating as it pulls focus from other apps/typing/presentations. This is happening to me with Mac OS Sonoma 14.7, DisplayLink Manager 1.10.2 build 14, with an Elgato Prompter.

Recently got worse for me too. Incredibly annoying. Losing my mind.

I registered to this forum just to add a +1 to this thread. The DisplayLink Manager menubar pop-up appears constantly, steals focus from whatever you're doing, and is just generally extremely annoying.

The issue seems to be getting progressively worse/more frequent. I'd love to see this get fixed.

M3Pro Macbook Pro, Sonoma 14.6, DisplayLink Manager 1.11.0 (build 28), Elgato Prompter

I found this video, and did exactly as suggested. Check if Two applications are allowed to have access to Screen & System Audio Recording

Please take note, the video suggests to toggle the settings for both Camera Hub (Elgato) and DisplayLink Manager after installing both apps to system settings. Only after this the nagging pop up was gone.

No luck on my side, this has no effect on the popup for me.

A question to everyone here, I'm trying to ascertain a pattern. I've found that updating to DisplayLink 1.11 build 28 makes it less frequent, but still happening. I may be mistaken, but it seems to start happening after the computer has woken from sleep. Please could others confirm?

If I do a fresh reboot, it behaves, but seems to start popping up after a sleep cycle.

I've been having this asme problem on an M1 MBP running Sequoia (as well as the previous two version of macOS) since I got an Elgato Prompter (never had DisplayLink installed before).

It seemed to get worse when I installed a Plugable USB-C Dual HDMI adapter, and may be a little better since I disconnect that device.

I've tried every suggestion I could find without success. I even installed DisplayLink's support app and sent them the file it produces. they acknowledged receipt but nothing since.

I don't generally lock my screen, and it makes no difference whether I'm using the computer, the popup appears without any pattern I can detect.

It's been 4 months since I posted this — I've also tried reaching out to support who've done nothing, and to Elgato, who blame DisplayLink.

I've resorted to keeping the prompter unplugged while I'm not using it. It's clear to me that neither company care about this software/experience, and that's incredibly disappointing.
