Default Issue with f.lux when taking screenshots

When using f.lux in Windows 10 and taking a screenshot via Print Screen key or the Snipping tool, the screenshot itself appears to take on the f.lux filter, rather than displaying the proper color temperature. See screenshot below - the color temperature is overly warm even if you're viewing on a machine not using f.lux.

This is not ideal, because it means I have to temporarily disable f.lux any time I want to take a screenshot (which I do fairly often for work).

f.lux version: 4.55
DisplayLink driver version: 8.4.2250.0

Let me know if any other information is needed.

Hello,

That correct, and expected with the current implementation from the f.lux team.
This doesn't rely on DisplayLink currently. They were kind enough to implement a temporary solution for their users which works on most cases, but has indeed a couple of undesired effects.

There is no other way around it today than the way you are using.
The proper way to address this is with long development effort, currently being re-assessed.

Kind regards,
Alban

What would that be (both solution and effects)?
