Device Not Attached
Tried installing the 8.1 software but now it's not recognizing my dock at all. I can use the mouse and keyboard that's attached to it but video and Ethernet will not function. When I run the system compatibility check everything seems fine except that it says Warning: Device Not Attached. Attached is the zip file I created after trying to re-install the program. It shows as being installed but the program fails to start and the device still shows as not being attached.

Hi
What make and model of dock are you using? Was it working on Windows 8? Thanks, James |

It's the Targus ACP70US. And yes, originally it was working on 8.

Hi,
Are there any devices listed as unknown devices in device manager? Can you try this: 1. Disconnect the dock 2. Uninstall the DisplayLink software 3. Download and run the Cleaner tool from here: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=297 4. Install the latest DisplayLink software from here: http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=61888 5. Reconnect the dock Thanks, James |

Nope, device manager isn't showing any unknown devices.
Also, following those steps did not resolve the issue. Thanks for the support! |

Firmware for the USB 3.0 hub in the dock
Can you try updating the hub firmware in the dock? http://www.targus.com/us/download.as...7&sku=ACP70USZ

Hi,
Couple of things to try: Is the DisplayLink Manager service running? Search for "Services" and select the DisplayLinkManager service Is the DisplayLink Core Software directory present? It's usually here - C:\Program Files\DisplayLink Core Software Please also check in the C:\Program Files\DisplayLink Core Software\Debug\ directory for any DisplayLinkManager.... logs Lastly, with the dock attached open up Device Manager and expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers section. Right click on each of the hubs listed (except for those marked "usb root hub". Select "Properties" from the menu and then select the Details tab. Here, select the Hardware Ids entry in the property drop down list. Let me know if any of the hubs have the following value "USB\VID_05E3&PID_0612&REV_xxxx" or "USB\VID_05E3&PID_0610&REV_xxxx" Thanks, James |

I updated the firmware before this issue came about.
1. The service is running. See attached 2. The directory is present. See attached 3. Debug log for the user agent is attached. the Link Manager log is to large. 4. None have either of those values. See attached for what USB devices i have. |

Hi,
Thanks for the info. I've sent you a PM about gathering the DisplayLinkmanager logs. Can you post the Hardware Ids value that you get from the Generic SuperSpeed Hub that is shown in your screenshot? Thanks, James |

I was only looking at the USB Root Hubs, yes the generic hub is the following.
USB\VID_05E3&PID_0612&REV_4401 Just sent you the log. Last edited by Derpy; 08-05-2013 at 11:24 AM. |
