DP-VGA Adapter with PR09
Hello everybody,
trying to to get this configuration to work: Fujitsu PR09 on an E5511 Lifebook with: 1 monitor external HP, 1920x1200 1 monitor internal Notebook 1 monitor external VGA 1024x768 (yesss :-) but enough for teams-head icons) Using latest available 10.2 M4 drivers. The external one is connected through an DP-VGA adapter. Problem: VGA only gets 640x480; using DP-Link Manager it says: "no Monitor" Thats' independent of the 2nd DP port plugged in or not. Using the DP-VGA directly on the notebook-DP-port results in correct resolution. Is the Display-Link DP Port not capable of driving the DP-VGA correctly? Thanks a lot and greetings, Grumpftl. |

Hello,
Can you please ensure there are no loose connections? Also if you have an option swap the video cables with new/different ones. The issue you are seeing is common with damaged or low quality video cables and loose connections. If you have checked this but the issue persists please gather logfiles for further analysis. To do that follow How Can I Report Windows Issues To DisplayLink Thank you.

Hello everybody,
tried it out, no change. Connecting adapter directly to DP-Port on notebook gives the right result (resolution 1024). I*ve gathered the required information, one time with DP-VGA Adapter connected to PR09, one time connected directly to notebook. I'll send the log directly to the given support-email in the link above (can attach it here on special request). Greetings, Grumpftl |
