Default How to use the DisplayLink driver on non glibc systems?

I'm trying to install the driver on a non-glibc system (Gentoo with musl libc or Alpine Linux). Can users of such operating systems use the driver, if so how?

Things I've tried:

1. Running the driver directly, doesn't work.
2. Running the driver with glibc compatible layer, the driver aborts.

Are there any future ideas for non-glibc users?
