Hi,
At this point I can only suggest you contact the manufacturer of the external HDD docks for support: Orico can be reached here: http://www.orico.com.cn/en/AboutPage...type=contactus Sharkoon can be reached here: http://www.sharkoon.com/?q=en/conten...claimercontact Thanks, James |

Mmmm, James, but what should the manufacturers say? These devices perform well if I connect them directly to the USB3 port of my laptop. They only dot not work if I connect them to the USB3 port of the 3005pr. How do you conclude that the problem is caused by the HDD enclosures and not by the 3005pr?

Hi,
Sorry that wasn't clear. What I meant to say was that this sounds like a compatibility issue between the external HDD devices and the HP 3005pr's USB 3.0 hub (a Texas Instruments TUSB8040). I think you're doing the right thing already by posting on the HP forum. Thee's little I can do as the hub is not part of the DisplayLink solution. Thanks, James |

I did already post the issue on the HP forum on July 28th, James (http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-H...pr/m-p/2804321). However, until now no reply. May be you could write a comment on this post that it is not a Display Link issue, to wake up HP.
