Hi,

PilotPete, to upgrade the firmware you have to have Windows computer. As the files provided by the manufacturer can only be used with that operating system.
The file is available at: https://www.dell.com/support/home/uk...-d6000/drivers
  1. When you do the update make sure you do not have anything plugged in to the dock.
  2. Connect the dock to machine running Windows and run the file downloaded from the website.
  3. Follow the wizard and once this has completed you can connect your dock to your Mac.

Also double-check if you have Supplemental Update for your macOS available, if yes then please make sure to apply it.

Best regards,
Katarzyna

I'm having the same issue - using the beta software which used to work really well and now nothing seems to help. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, then restarted etc.

Hello PilotPete,

Unfortunately there is no such possibility to upgrade firmware while using the MacOS machine.

Firmware update can be only done while using the Windows machine. In order to do so, you will need to plug in your D6000 to the Windows laptop and download -> install firmware upgrade.

Please remember to have only the dock plugged in, without any monitors/usb devices plugged in to the dock.

Afterwards, you will be able to connect the D6000 to your MacOS laptop.

Kind regards,
Jakub
