Default Mac thinks there is a display, but screen is black

Hi, I just purchased a UV Plus+ 12 USD DisplayLink adapter for my Macbook Late 2008 Aluminum model Macbook running 10.6.4.

I downloaded the 1.6b3 for Mac and the adapter was working fine until a few hours ago when the display turned black, but my Mac thinks there is still a display plugged in.

The last thing I did on my mac before it stopped working, was waking it from a "Deep Sleep"; I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem.

Thanks!
Adam

The monitor sometimes flashes "1: Analog Input. Cannot Display This Video Mode". It is a Dell monitor.

Started working again somehow... All I did was go to System preferences, displays, and it just flicked on!

I will post again if it happens -_-
