Default Video, audio stopped, Kensington dock

I have been using a Kensington sd3500v dock for a couple of years with an external monitor and speakers hooked up to it. Now when I connect either of my laptops to it, all the USB devices connected to the hub work (even my phone, which is connected to the monitor), but the audio and video don't. The computer just doesn't recognize that a DisplayLink device is connected. I have tried rebooting, updating drivers, using DVI and HDMI. Nothing helps.

Whenever I plug in a DVI or HDMI cable, the monitor comes to life, and says "No signal," and then goes back on standby. So something's going down that wire.

I looked in Device Manager under USB controllers, and there is a "Generic SuperSpeed USB Hub" that installs when I plug in the dock, but after maybe 30 seconds, it gets the yellow triangle with the exclamation point. I tried uninstalling that device, but it has no apparent effect.

I've attached the DisplayLink log. Can you help me?
