Exclamation Display Link & Virtual environement

Hi,

we are testing the Wacom usb tablet DTU1141 into vmware workstation 10.0.0.7 environment. Host and guest are Windows 7 32 bit, both machines have the display link installed on.

In host it's all ok, but in guest the secondary monitor (Wacom tablet) is off.

Any suggestions?

thanks

Hello Lorenzo,

Because of the low level access needed on Windows 7, you cannot run it on a VM.
You may wish to try on Windows 10 Anniversary Update onwards, as it has the low level features baked in the OS.

Kind regards,
Alban

Hey Lorenzo,

Would you please be able to precise the "sometimes"?
There should be no randomness about it. Logs when the issue is present may be helpful to me to diagnose this.

We've worked with Citrix company in the past and they have been great.
The work was around compatibility with the Citrix VDA on Windows 7 and, as far as I know, all is peachy since 7.9 M5 since we made some adjustments on how we handle virtual displays.

Kind regards,
Alban

Cool

Hi Alban,

could you please send us the exactly activities to procede with Citrix?

What kind of Citrix product do you mean? (Citrix stand alone VDA client and/or server, etc..)?

Thanks

Hello,

I do not have the steps to install Citrix.
XenDesktop installs virtual graphics adapters, their VDA. For the rest, this is not appropriate for me to comment on how their solution work, this is a question for them.

Kind regards,
Alban
