Default displaylink sw + win8 = DVI monitor cannot come out from pover saving mode

Hi,

Since I have installed Win8 (Pro X64) while the Displaylink sw is active - Samsung SyncMaster U70 USB display is plugged in - the primary DVI attached monitor cannot come back from power saving mode. If I unplug the USB monitor, the DVI monitor comes back from power saving mode - but not any other way.

- displaylink sw version: 7.03
- video card: Sapphire AMD HD7550
- Catalyst Control Center: 12.10 (tested with previous versions too)

Earlier, using Vista Ultimate X64 this problem not existed.

Does anybody experienced similar thing?

thanks,

Default running the debug tool - email address

Hi,

Thank you for your answer!

Something is not clear to me regarding to the suggested usage of the debug tool. Is hould be used after the error happened. As I wrote I have to disconnect the usb display to get back the main display to do anything (the USB display freezes so I can not use it too). The debug tool can be used only if the usb display was disconnected after the error, so it will not catch the state of the computer which relates to the error.

What is the email addres I should use to send the results?

Thanks,
