M2 Macbook Pro -- Can't get both monitors to 4K
I have a 2022 Macbook Pro M2, an LG 4K monitor and a Dell 4k monitor. My company provided a Cable Matters USB-C multiport video adapter that has a USB-C port, 2 USB 3 ports and an HDMI port. They also sent me a CableMatters 4K UHD displayport-HDMI adapter.
Currently only the monitor I connect directly to USB-C on the Macbook shows 4K. Connecting a display via adapter and USB 3.0 works, but the display is not 4K. If I try connecting the HDMI cable directly into CableMatters adapter the display is not recognized. It's hard on the eyes to have one display crisp and other a lesser resolution. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? Everything worked fine when I was able to connect USB-C and HDMI directly to my personal 14" MBP. |
