Default Kubuntu 16.10: Working, with caveats

I'm running Kubuntu 16.10 on a Core i7 CPU. I currently have three monitors connected via an nVidia GeForce GTX650 and I am using the proprietary driver.

I've connected a Plugable USB 3.0 Universal Laptop Docking Station connected, installed the latest DisplayLink drivers and dance, and can see the additional outputs in xrandr.

Code:
Providers: number : 2
Provider 0: id: 0x279 cap: 0x1, Source Output crtcs: 4 outputs: 4 associated providers: 0 name:NVIDIA-0
Provider 1: id: 0x2d3 cap: 0x2, Sink Output crtcs: 1 outputs: 1 associated providers: 0 name:modesetting
Then I run:

Code:
$ xrandr --setprovideroutputsource 1 0
And now I'm able to open up "arandr" (graphic xrandr gui) and I can set that output to being "Active" -- Now I have a nice 1920x1080 desktop displaying on my fourth monitor and my mouse and keyboard are able to interact with it smoothly.

HOWEVER, my primary three monitors "scroll" now whenever I move my mouse towards the edge of the screen nearest the fourth monitor... kind of like an old-school XWindows virtual desktop size. What was three 1920x1080 screens is now four, and the fourth is a mirror of what appears on the DisplayLink-connected monitor. I've searched the forums and google and haven't seen any similar behavior, so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if this is just the current behavior of the drivers when using the nVidia proprietary driver.

Hope someone can help solve this!
