Unhappy Destkop not recognised in Ubuntu 15.10

Hi !

(logs attached in zip!)

I'm running on Ubuntu 15.10.
I have downloaded the latest ubuntu driver displaylink-driver-1.2.65.run, made the file executable and ran it.

Output console seems fine:

Installing license file
Adding udev rule for DisplayLink DL-3xxx/5xxx devices
dlm start/running, process 12551
Mouse and keyboard are recognized, only the screen doesn't show.
lsusb gives me:

It seems like the desktop is not recognized. The screen remains pitch black.

Can anyone help me out please?

Thank you VERY much in advance.

There's a lot of USB-related problems visible in your dmesg log - there's even a hint that the USB cable might be bad. Have you tried with another cable and/or another USB port?

Regards,
Michal

HI Michal!
Thanks so much for looking into it!

I have tried indeed with another cable (3 different ones) and on my other usb ports, and the keyboard and mouse always seem to work fine. Its only the monitor that gives no connection sign...
