Default Issues with Dell D3100 on Ubuntu 17.10 as ESXi VM

Hi,


I'm doing development on a VMware ESXi 5.5 ("home virtualization") and would love to connect any of the VMs running to my Dell D3100 dock.

So I did a fresh installed Ubuntu 17.10 and installed the DL Ubuntu drivers. Everything seemed to have gone well, but the two connected monitors didn't show up in the Ubuntu display settings.

I've run the diagnosis (see below).

Default Diagnostics

Here comes the diagnostics file.

I used the 4.1 DL drivers from here:
