Unhappy M1 Max streaming platforms not working (Netflix)

Hi all!

I have a situation here and can't find the solution. Hopefully the community will be able to help me out!

I've got a MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max (Ventura 13.0) connected to a Targus (DOCK190USZ), using DisplayLink Manager 1.8.0 (latest).

All the streaming platforms (Netflix, DisneyPlus, Prime Video) don't work. I get a black screen, can only see the subtitles and some other information, but not the content.

I've tried all browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox) - all in their latest versions - and it did not help either. I'm out of ideas here!

Youtube, Twitch and other video platform work!

Do you have any suggestions?

The DisplayLink Manager Application needs to be granted 'Screen Recording' permission in order to generate the image shown on the displays connected to the Targus dock.

Even though no information is actually being recorded, while this permission is granted macOS prevents copy protected content from playing. DisplayLink speaks to this limitation here --> https://support.displaylink.com/know...y-on-mac-while

With that said, others in this forum have indicated that disabling hardware acceleration in either Firefox or Chrome can sometimes produce a different result.

Oh! That's not good!

So, the only option I have available is to get another Docking Station that doesn't use DisplayLink?

As I mentioned previously, others in this forum have indicated that disabling hardware acceleration in either Firefox or Chrome can sometimes produce a different result.

I can confirm that after changing the docking station to this one https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/NBD...n-Docking-Gen2, it's working fine!

How did you cable your setup?
Does it work with hardware acceleration enabled?

That's pretty significant limitation.

Technically Display Link manager disables ability to play any DRM content, and what's words it's on any screen. I have just one screen connected via Display Link manager, and DRM content also won't play on other screen is which is connected independently
