DisplayLinkManager timeout 30000 ms, service did not respond timely
Hi everyone
We have a bunch (~20) D3100 docks, with mixed dell laptops and dell monitors. A handful of machines do not connect to the display in the morning. Manually starting the service will restore connection, but its a bandaid fix only good for a day. Event viewer has the following logs on all the affected machines: (ID 7000) The DisplayLinkManager service failed to start due to the following error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. (ID 7009) A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the DisplayLinkManager service to connect. All the machines are up to date driver wise. Google hasn't given me much to go on. Any ideas? Thanks |

Hello Ellis,
Could you please create a ticket with the logs so this can be investigated? The last link in my forum signature indicates the tool and procedure. This will give us all the versions you are using to be able to analyse this on an identical or similar machine. Kind regards, Alban
