Default Sony Vaio with Intel Graphics not working

Hi
I have a Lenovo Portable LCD ( lt1421) screen which is USB powered. I need to connect this to my Sony Vaio VPCX118LG/B laptop as a secondary screen. I have installed the latest drivers for this hardware on my Vaio, and the secondary screen appears, however the screen is pixelated and you need to move the cursor around for the screen to refresh the screen display. I have attached a photo of the problem.

This is not a fault with the Lenovo Portable LCD ( lt1421) screen , as I have tested this on an Lenovo Laptop and Dell Desktop PC. It works perfectly with all other PCs / laptop.

I have tried adjusting the resolution on the VAIO Intel display card and the refresh rate, however none of the settings resolve this issue.

i believe this is an issue with the Displaylink drivers (7.4.51572.0) and Intel display drivers (Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 500 , version 8.14.10.2024) .

Here is the error from the Windows 7 Application log;
