Default White lines and not responding

Have a MacBook Pro running OS 10.8.4 and an EVGA UV+ 39 with the latest DisplayLink 2.0 drivers. Attached screen (Dell E2213H) is running in extended mode.

Randomly the screen attached to it will suddenly stop responding and show white lines interlacing across it. Sometimes this will occur when an object gets dragged onto it and at other times it will just happen randomly. Unplugging the device and plugging it back in will fix it but it happens so frequently that it's a serious pain.

Drivers have been reinstalled and no change. Have tried the EVGA UV+ plugged in to different computers and have not been able to reproduce the issue. Have other UV+ 39 boxes attached to the same monitor model and these issues do not occur. Have swapped out the screen and it still occurs. Seems to be related to this particular MacBook.

Seems like it could be a driver crashing issue? Haven't found anything in the KB or Forums that seems to match this issue, but may have missed something. Any suggestions? Thanks!
