Hi Jochen,
The graphics driver you use does NOT support cloning across graphics adapters. Your driver is Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1) (Intel Corporation) The feature called DWM Clone was introduced as optional in WDDM 1.3 and later became compulsory. Intel would need to release Windows 10 drivers and they won't on such an old card. Your graphics driver predates, by more than 3 years, the operating system you are using. With previous versions, we could create this feature from nothing... Your solution is to remove the outdated driver to use the inbox Microsoft Basic Graphics Adapter which, despite its unengaging name, will support the cloning across graphics adpaters so from the Intel to the DisplayLink adapter. http://support.displaylink.com/knowl...indows-10-anni Kind regards, Alban

Dear Alban
Thank you for your fast answer. I know it is an old modell, but with the first version of windows 10 i used the same driver from Intel. I used your older software 7.9 and cloning was possible and it works fine. Now after the update from Windows 10 i have to use your new software and clonig only works with the basic driver. So it seems for me that your new driver does not work with the intel driver. With best wishes Jochen |

Hello Jochen,
Please feel welcome to ask Microsoft or Intel how "cloning across graphics adapters" works. You can also look at the slide 4 of the following presentation not made by DisplayLink and not for DisplayLink so it will rule out any bias: "Graphics Investments in Windows 10" Cross-adapter resource sharing was brought as optional in WDDM 1.3. You will see that "DWM Clone" is compulsory in WDDM 2.0. Slide 7 even states that there is "no cloning across multiple GPUs", which is not totally correct. It was only optional which means most GPU vendors didn't implement it, but it was possible as described in slide 4. Your driver says in its very title it is WDDM 1.1. On the Windows 10 Anniversary Update our driver does NOT talk with the Intel graphics driver directly anymore, ever, and it does not have to. We uses Microsoft documented OS calls. The reason I was able to reply quickly is because we did study it in details, with Microsoft, before Windows 10 Anniversary Update was released. The ultimate proof? Remove the Intel driver and suddenly you'll be able to clone because the Microsoft inboxed driver is WDDM 2.0 so support DWM Clone. Regards, Alban

Cloning with inteldriver and vga-monitor
Dear Allan
I have also a small vga-monitor. Here i can clone the display with the normal intel-driver But this monitor has no touchscreen and therefore i want to use the small lilliput monitor with your software. I hope that i can use again the next version of your software. With best wishes Jochen |

Dear Jochen,
Of course the VGA monitor connected directly on the same graphics card will work. The feature you are missing is across different cards. You can plug in a PCMCIA/PC Card graphics card, you won't be able to clone either. If only you removed that obsolete Intel driver you could already be using it... Alban
