Default DL-165 - Unable to display 1680x1050/1920x1080

Hello
I am using the adaptor output to a 22" Dell monitor.
The naive resolution of this monitor is 1680X1050.
There is a 1680X1050 option in my Display panel.
Unfortunately, the monitor goes to Energy Saving mode(blank) most of time of the time when I chose 1680X1050 (or anything higher than 1440X900).
However, when I was using it yesterday, it shows the naive resolution(1680X1050) without any problem.
So, I am wondering if it is a driver problem or the adaptor problem?
And I have attached my debug info.
Thank you very much.

Not an expert, but looking at the logs the driver is having an issue pulling EDID information from the monitor.

I would try it first with another monitor (and different cable), and perhaps try the adapter on a different system (do you have a Windows system available). Perhaps you tried these troubleshooting steps already?

My money is on a bad adapter, but I'm not 100% sure.

I would return the adapter for a replacement, or get a refund and purchase a different adapter. Sounds like a hardware issue.

This adaptor works with another monitor.
This is the third one but there is a ghost image and some flashing..
Hopefully, it is not a hardware problem..

Do you have a Windows system you can try the adapter on? if not, I would be inclined to work with the retailer for replacement or refund.
