Default Asus mb169+ working profile

Here is a new and improved icc profile for the mb169b+ continued from this thread: http://displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=64614

It fixes the light colours that clipped in the old version.

I compressed the colour space to fit within the gamut of the monitor, and the highlight detail should be much improved.

If you find this useful, or have a better profile, please comment in this thread.

That is the software I used to make the profile, and Florian Höch of DisplayCal helped me with the compression of the colour gamut.

I have made a new profile that is slightly better than the last one, but most importantly doesn't cause trouble with Photoshop.

As far as gamut goes, this monitor can only do about 50% of sRGB, which isn't very good. Mostly it's fine, but it simply can't show very vivid colours. (The coulours it can show are vivid enough though, it's just that it can't do neon type coulours.) This makes it hard to profile, and I think this is about as good as it gets.

For anyone thinking about buying this monitor, I say go ahead as long as you use this profile:

Thanks, yes the people at Asus must be idiots. I really like the screen, but with the factory profile it's horrible.

Could you post this link again please? I've been searching everywhere to fix this horrible contrast issue and this is the first solution i've seen. Thanks :P

Maybe a moderator could be so kind to host a copy of the profile on-site?
