Default "Invalid Display 0x1b5696c2" message

Hi All,

I am running the 4.1.1 Mac driver on my MacBook Pro (early 2015) model with 16GB of RAM and using the intel iris 6100 chipset hooked up to a LG 34UB67-B monitor through a Targus DOCK160USZ docking station. From time to time the display fails and I get the message showing "Invalid Display 0x1b5696c2" What this does is the following:
  • Display goes kaput
  • Macbook Pro freezes up
  • Hub appears to be resetting
  • Desktop reappears on screen

As one can imagine, it can get to be frustrating. I am also having to run this at 1080p even though the monitor resolution is 2560 x 1080. I have taken the following suggestions to try and see if it helps the issue, but it does not:
  • Resetting NVRAM/PRAM
  • Reloading a clean install of MacOSX operating system
  • Uncheck the "displays have own spaces" box

If anyone has any suggestions on what else I can try, it would be helpful.
