Default Tourble installing displaylink software

I receive two different errors, equally confounding when trying to install the software. When I use the provided installer from the disc I get an error saying I do not have an intel bases mac. I however do. When I try installing the software provided on the website I get the same error with both versions provided (the alpha 1.8 and version 1.7) that says that "installation failed."

Well, I got it to work. I had to unplug the other display from the mini-display port and shutdown completely. Once back up, it installed instantly.
