The thing keeps disconnecting and reconnecting every 5 seconds
Hello
I just got my displaylink thingie and it worked for the first time but after a while when i got back to my computer i noticed that all my screens are flickering so i opened the display details in win7 to show me how many screens are connected and the thing keeps disconnecting and reconnecting about every 5 seconds non stop. I tried installing the latest driver and nothing. Tried disconnecting the unit from the usb socket and reconnecting and still nothing... Any ideas? Thanks, Roi. |

Please run through this guide for general troubleshooting tips: http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=896 To help us investigate the issue, please download this tool: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 As soon as the issue is seen again, please run it and select "Gather Support Information" It's also worth trying the "System Compatibility Check" to see if anything is flagged up. If it is the USB that keeps connecting/disconnecting, this can be due to a lack of USB power. Is it connected directly to the PC? and the PC is not on battery?

Well, It isn't solved
The thing keeps connecting and disconnecting every 3 seconds and never stops... The green light turns on for a few seconds and then back off... It's not a laptop, tried a few different USB ports (not on a USB hub, straight to the computer). What is up with that? |

This needs to be fixed as I am having the exact same problem on 4 different Surface 2 Pros. Never had a problem with this on Windows 8. Only on Windows 8.1. You are not alone rg12
