Dell Laptop will not boot
I have 2 users with the same model Dell laptops that will not boot, They both started having this issue this week. Laptop will freeze on BIOS screen.
Right now I have to power off laptop, unplug docking station from laptop, power on laptop, log in, reconnect docking station, power cycle docking station, Then everything works, UNTIL you reboot. Please help. |

This is usually due to the BIOS getting stuck when enumerating DisplayLink devices, and can usually be solved by upgrading the BIOS. Please see this article for more information:

So far the issue has gone away on it's own.
I do notice with one of my users, if he takes his laptop home for the weekend, and comes back the monitor part of the docking station doesn't work anymore. Sometimes it's fixed by unplugging the power to docking station and plugging it back in. Other times I can to reinstall Display Link and reboot. Any ideas? |
