Default Modified Win8 x64 USB 3 driver

I have modified the intel usb 3 drivers used for windows 7 to work on windows 8 64 bit. Give them a try. Make sure you read the "readme" file first!

Enjoy!

I've tried it but get an error saying it's not compatible.

Hrmm, I double check and re-upload the files. Make sure you read the readme!

Try them again.

Carminus, I tried this out, but was surprised to see the READMEFIRST starting at step 9. directly.
Have I missed steps 1 to 8?
In step 25, it states "Select the folder where you modified the iusbhub.inf file from the above steps" -> Does this mean the file needs to be modified in some way?

It did not work for me and I had to revert back to the Microsoft drivers :-(
I will try again, but should we not have to modify both drivers for USB xHCI Compliant Host Controller and USB Root Hub (xHCI)?
The READMEFIRST file only states the modification of "Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 0100 (Microsoft)" with the iusbhub.inf (which I suppose is iusb3hub.inf).
Should it not be the iusb3xhc.inf file instead?
And then I would also replace the Driver for "USB Root Hub (xHCI)" with the iusb3hub.inf file.

Thanks for helping me get the exact steps correct ;-)

That's because I already did steps 1-8 for you. I just forgot to re-number. The two INF's were modified to work with windows 8.

The only two drivers that need this update are in the picture below

They seem to work as I posted them on Intel' site.
