DisplayLink device: Targus Universal USB 3.0 DV Docking Station with Power : ACP71USZ
Laptop: ASUS Zenbook UX31A
External monitor: Acer G237HL bi 23-Inch LED Back-Lit (1920 x 1080) Widescreen Display
Software: Windows 10 with all the latest drivers.
The issue: It appears that certain components rendered by the browser cause the external monitor to go completely black. Scroll up/down until said component is "out" of the screen and... Voila! The external monitor comes back to life and works flawlessly. But the exercise is a 100% repro: scroll in one direction and the monitor goes black. Scroll in the opposite direction and it comes back up.
The behavior seems to be slightly different by browser, but they all make the monitor go black at times. I haven't noticed the behavior in any other applications; just certain web forms/pages/apps seem to cause this.
Any ideas? This is driving me insane!!!
Thanks a lot!
