X1 Carbon Touch, Windows 8.1, Driver install hangs forever
 

Trying to get my second monitor to display correctly. Dock is Lenovo USB Dock 3.0. Second monitor no longer activates, not recognized from graphics options. Tried installing the new display link driver, but after download/run, it just stays "installing" and never completes.

Lenovo says "talk to Microsoft". And I work there. Help?

As soon as the issue is seen please attach the output of this tool:
http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269
Once downloaded, please run it and select "Gather Support Information"

It's also worth trying the "System Compatibility Check" to see if anything is flagged up.
