Display lag/refresh is the culprit
I have experienced this same thing but I learned that the cursor isn't actually jumping back, it's that the display periodically has a little bit of lag for some reason, and then catches up once...

Check this thread
This issue is related to how macOS handles HDCP content through hardware acceleration, not a DisplayLink issue. Some browsers will be able to display content with hardware acceleration disabled, but...

If this were a TV being connected to a streaming box using an HDMI cable, sure, that would be the issue, but I don't believe that's what's happening here.
Mac > USB dock/dongle (DisplayLink) >...

Agree and bump
I do not know how everyone else views this issue, but it makes DisplayLink on macOS somewhat embarrassing. On Windows, users have few (if any) limitations. Granted, Windows is a dumpster fire, but I...

I checked into this a number of months back - this is an issue that manifests with any third-party display drivers (Duet Display, Air Display, DisplayLink, etc.). The basic idea is that these...

Unfortunately, you're a little off on your assessment of OWC, Caldigit, and HP docks. Those all use Thunderbolt 3, not USB-C, despite the cable looking identical to USB-C. Those docks use either the...

Not yet
Mojave is still firmly in beta territory, and you can expect significant changes between now and the final release. Beta OS releases are never a magic bullet.

Turn off mirroring
Try turning off mirroring, extending the desktop to all displays, and making sure "Displays have separate spaces" is enabled (under "Mission Control" settings in System Preferences).

Bug report submitted
Thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. I agree that it should still allow for watch unlock and HDCP-protected content playback on supported screens.,

Still necessary?
After installing the 4.0 beta, I'm no longer noticing any log spam. I ran the terminal command anyway, but observed no change in the amount or type of logs being generated by the system. Is anyone...

Sounds like an issue with your MacBook?
I had a MacBook Air 11" from 2011/2012 and it worked like a champ with DisplayLink - never an issue with any ports. I would lean towards a motherboard problem, especially if the ports stay down after...

Misunderstanding
I think you misunderstand how DisplayLink works.
DisplayLink adapters are used to connect a workstation to an external standalone display.
Your iMac is a workstation, and your HP laptop is a...

Displays have separate spaces
Go into System Preferences > Mission Control > "Displays have separate Spaces" > [CHECK]
Make sure that item is checked, it should improve performance dramatically.

Currently Windows, Mac coming?
Ah yes, I do remember this being a conversation topic. I see that it is currently being worked on as a part of the Windows drivers, and can I assume that Mac support is also on the docket?

Hey Team,
Just installed the new update to macOS Sierra (10.12.4), which has the Night Shift feature as in iOS, and it appears that it does not affect the DL-connected display. Are there any plans...
