I have an AOC e1649FWU external USB monitor connected to a Dell Precision M4800 that has been unusable due to it constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. It now, touch wood, appears to be working....

It is a Dell Precision M4800 and the monitor is directly connected. I doubt it is a power issue as it occurs even when I have the extra power only USB connector on the monitor connected.
