Same or similar issue here.

M1 MacBook Pro goes to sleep and when I wake it up in the morning, it presents the log in page, but after entering the password it is just spinning until I reboot it....

Are you connecting the display directly to the Mac? If so, why would you even use the DisplayLink?
If not, do you have a docking station that supports DisplayLink?
