Updated to 7.5 and still get the same behavior. So I thought maybe if I used another machine it would update the firmware. So I updated another machine to 7.5 and the monitor comes up but if I move the mouse cursor to the displaylink monitor it disconnects and reconnects.
After trying that if I go back to the Surface I get a message that says "Your drivers are not compatible with your device. Go to the manufacturers support site or
www.displaylink.com to get the latest drivers before you can use your device."
